Boleslawiec pottery is functional, and beautiful. It falls in a very different category from fine English and Asian china and pottery. Price of Polish Boleslawiec pottery is dependant on size, type of item, quality of glaze/painting, and whether or not the piece is Unikat, or “unique” in English. Unikat decorations are partially painted (not only stamped) or has sophisticated, requiring large amount of work and experience, stamped pattern. In some factories there are Unikat and Unikat/Arte signed series. Those pieces as signed by painter are most rare and expensive. Polish crystal is famous for its excellent cut and light refraction. The diversity of the crystal, the form and shape of crystal dishes and decorations is astonishing. The most popular items made of crystal are vases, glasses, carafes, beer mugs and candlesticks. Some People say that Poland is a country of Christmas ornaments. We have huge number of Christmas ornaments manufacturers. Most of them makes only hand painted balls, but some of them decided to stay with their tradition, and still are making hand blown Christmas ornaments in different shapes.
